  1. Smozoma won the B title, I was runner up.
  2. Gonna get HBO for a month now...
  3. Seconded. I always have a soft spot for the "class of Spring'11" guys -- Probob, robbie, Dan, & comeback. Not sure if I forgot someone.
  4. Final info: Team Name: Empire Strikes Ass NHL Team: NY Rangers C: KingRaph #56 Righty W: da94wookiee #7 Lefty G: Biggie Smalls #1 Backup: Ol' Dirty Bastard #00 Scoreboard: ESA
  5. I listen to the Adam Carolla podcast regularly, and defintely when he has a good guest. Also, the B.S. report with Bill Simmons (ESPN), Behind the Bets with Chad Millman is great for everything betting (ESPN), Rich Eisen podcast and Peter King Podcast too for NFL. Oh, if I have time, Monday podcast with Bill Burr.
  6. Thanks for getting things in order Robbie!
  7. I can really see any of these teams make a nice run if the chemistry between teammates develops. Though I haven't played with everyone, here's my two cents: Frey/Jay: Arguably the best 2v2 player (15-6 in '11 Summit), Frey can abuse opponents solo. Jay plays frequently, and gets better and better daily. If these two develop a rhythm, they will be tough Habs/Mindpind: Arguably one of the best 2v2 players, HABS (36-19) can abuse opponents solo . Never played 2v2 w/Mind, but similar to FreyJay, this team will do damage with a little chemistry. Zalex/Dan: This is a strong pairing, imo. I believe these guys can play for 24hrs without a break. Dan (17-28) is the iron man and playing frequently with Zalex (38-32) will be a nice advantage for this duo. I pick them to go far this year. Sebe/Dcicon: When active, Sebe (14-9) is a great 2v2 player, but he's been MIA for some time now. DC (23-23) is the reigning Blitz league B champ, and played a lot in summit. Dunno if they can play enough together, but if they do, they will be tough. Politely/Kupuck: Politely (3-2) is supposed to be really good, but I have never played with him or even seen him! Kupuck (13-22) is a gamer, so I hope he gets to GA! Carse/Mav: Everyone knows Carse (11-20) is a dominant '94 player, but 2v2 is a different beast. Nonetheless, the raw skill level is unquestionable. Mav (20-19) is a strong 2vs2 player, and will compliment Carse nicely on this squad. Icestorm/BoKnows: Two '94 A players, IceStorm (24-24) and BoKnows (19-15) will be a really tough team to beat. My money goes on them to win it all, but they have already exhibited team issues before the season starts! KingRaph/Wookie: KingRaph (4-5) has been playing regularly and his 2v2 game has improved since summit. Paired up with the current GENS C champ, there is enough talent on this team to make a nice run this year.
  8. There was a thread discussing potential Hamachi issues, but as far as I know, there haven't been any problems using Hamachi. If you're really nervous about having a P2P connection, you can always play via server (client), where you and your opponent connect to a server and play there. Also used frequently.
  9. Welcome! I'm pretty sure most people just play on a regular PC -- it's not necessary to have a stripped down old PC to play. The GENS emulator works fine on a quad-core monster setup I have and on a little netbook that I use mainly. Get yourself a USB controller, or an adapter from RetroZone. Once you're playing on your comp, get an AIM name and let's set up some online games! Setting up should take 5 mins (assuming things go normal).
  10. Updated on original post -- wookie now #7 and team name Empire Strikes Ass (abbr: ESA)
  11. I take it none of its recorded?
  12. Wookie and I got dibs on the NY Rangers C KingRaph #56 Righty W da94wookiee #7 Lefty G: Biggie Smalls #1 Backup: Ol' Dirty Bastard #00 Team Name: Empire Strikes Ass (ESA)
  13. Emulator first to see how difficult it actually is. Since its not that bad (or I just got lucky) I'll do it on a console and record it for Twin Galaxies soon. Maybe around Xmas.
  14. 49 goals on 3rd attempt. Not as easy as it sometimes appears. In each game there were minutes where my guys would inexplicably miss shots, posts, passes bounce off skates, defenders block, can't switch, failed one-timer, etc. Either way, gonna find that console next time I visit my folks,
  15. high score on snake...lol. I agree, BUT if there is an official '94 "record" out there, I want it to be here.

    nose is awesome!

Dante, Randall, and the guy who drinks all the Gatorade from Clerks.
  17. Some guy named Jeff Hinish broke the record for GENS on Jun 26, 2011. Record is now 47. SNES is 49. I never tried this before. Gotta average 16 goals/10 min period, which seems very possible. If I can break this on the emulator, I'll dig up my old console and try to record it for Twin Galaxies. Only right that the "record" be held by someone from this community.
  18. Update: Played Carse and Sicarius this past weekend. AJ -- you around at all?
  19. From my street hockey days: Position - F Handedness - Right Weight - 225 (205 playing weight) Speed - 4 Agility - 2 (skating not my best quality) Off.Awareness - 3 Def.Awareness - 3 Shot Power - 3 (at 6'2, should be better, but I could never truly master the art of the slapshot) Checking - 1 (No checking, but one time my "friend" slammed into the fence behind the net. Fighting - 0 (never dropped the gloves in a game) Stick Handling - 4 pretty good, used to use the "move": drag the puck behind me, pass through my legs, past the defender for a great scoring chance. Though, I'd probably be annihilated with that move if we checked. Shooting Accuracy - 5 (my greatest strength -- I rarely miss the target on my wristers) Endurance - 1 (5 during playing days -- last one to leave) Roughness - 2 Passing - 4 (goes along with shooting accuracy) Aggressiveness - 2 Overall: 63
  20. Can one (or both) of you record the series? I'd be glad to convert the krecs to videos if you send them to me.
  21. Best time for me to play is any night after 9 pm (EST). If needed, I should be available during the day Sat/Sun -- just send me a PM or text (through AIM) or reply to this thread if you want to try to set something up earlier. Games remaining: HABS (4) -- I see you online often, so we'll get our games in no prob Smoz (2) -- I see online as well, just have to catch you before 1 a.m. Not part of the late-night guys I normally see: AJ (4) Carse (4) ggs Sicarius (4) ggs
  22. "...f*** by now I could be f***in' watchin' football games!" still makes me laugh
