We are having a live event at my house and I want everything to be right. Brutus: Do you use VGA or HDMI? How do you mean it moves a lttle faster up on the big screen? Could that be lag? DC: Do you think it would matter for lag? VGA or HDMI. I have heard that both can cause lag and I have heard conflicting stories for which is better for old school gaming. Any thoughts on using Kega when netplay is not involved?

I have hooked up my pc to my hdtv with vga to vga cables. My pc does not have an hdmi port. It looks awesome and is fun to play kicked back on the couch with a giant screen. My question is would hdmi matter?

I am trying to play on a friends Mac. Gens Plus and Generator work great but playoffs freeze after the first game. Kega the playoffs work but it will not let me configure my controller. It recognizes it and takes the up/down and left/right, but then no buttons work. Any ideas???

Eliminating weight from the checking equation as my rom does. Body checking still works and it is varied. And I love it. I am just curious as to what determines the success. I think it would be great if you could do what you are attempting. I hate that weight is the most important attribute in this great game. Interesting. I had thought about trying the same thing. I am currently using/testing my WBX rom which just takes weight out of the equation for checking. I really like it, even prefer it to the wt bug fix. With your changing wt to checking, does it not make good checkers (High wt.) slower and less nimble? Also Balance formerly checking only affects CPU likelihood to check I believe? Anyway, welcome and I will look forward to trying some of your roms.

How do you get the colors correct? I've got everything else. I want to put the logos back in on the start up screen of my Original 6 Rom.

Worse than that it is based on pts per game. Andy Brickley 100 OFF Awareness for 27pts in 23 games. While I love 93 overall and the 0-15 ratings. 94 ratings are much better and less statiscally based. The most Def aware players (Selke winners) play against other teams top line and often don't have the best +/-. Carbonneau in 92. Stats are not a good way to do ratings. Gretzky is a 77 in 93. Kevin Stevens is a 75. 2 of the top 3 scorers. Brett Hull is an 82. He had 70 goals while Mike Gartner gets a 94 for 40 goals. I am making a 93 rom using modified stats from 94. The worst one is Shot ACC based on shooting %. Look at all the guys who get great accuracy. Kelly Buchberger 100. Ray Bourque 40???? In NHLPA 93. DEF AWARENESS = Plus/Minus Rating Which is a bummer because guys like Guy Carbonneau who won the Selke in 92 got lower ratings then say Vincent Damphousse.

Those goals are all beauty's on your video insanity. I thought it was that long along the ice shot from center or beyond that goes thru the goalies legs. Anyway to each his own.

Banning things from games (especially video games from the 1980's and 90's) is a valid option. If you don't want to ban something that is fine, but it is also valid to ban things. Some examples. Real sports The NHL bans kicking the puck in the net. It is a skill but will still be ruled no goal. Hand passes, holding, tripping, offsides, slashing, etc..... The NFL bans forward passes beyond the LOS. Pass Interference, Targeting the Head (a skill for sure), etc.... In our pick-up games of shinny hockey we ban checking. It is still fun and still hockey. In our neighborhood football games we ban tackling and blocking. It is still fun and still football. I hear handicaps make golf more fun. Not that I play that game, seems like a waste of good pasture land to me, but I digress. Video games Most Tecmo Super Bowl Leagues ban using D-Lineman as any play can be destroyed by lunging with them off the snap. Many RBI Baseball leagues ban curveballs because it is more fun playing straight pitch. In NHL Hockey 92 we banned ramming the goalie goals. In NHLPA 93 we do not allow the deke move. Which by the way in my opinion makes it a great game. Banning things can make games more FUN. We have a large group of guys who have been getting together in person and playing all these great video games together in person since 1991. We have special rules and bans for each one. The best one is making the best players play with poor teams. One thing I would love to see is a ban on good players using good teams. Let KingRaph play a season with Florida and give the lesser players Chicago and Detroit. Then you could have a 26 team league and not worry about A/B etc... Also on the Tampa jersey thing Boise State was banned from wearing all-blue unis on their home Blue Turf for exactly the reason you stated.
