  1. that was a great game. rangers won 4-2, to clinch a playoff spot. so intense. only problem was that it took a long time to clean up all the blood.
  2. This is really cool. Can you add playoff matchups? I mean... playoffs are more important than regular season, right?
  3. Nooooooooooooooooooo! The Halifax kiss of death has been laid on NYR. This series is going to be intense. Let's go Rangers!
  4. wookiee (CHI) advances past zalex (DAL) in 5 games: Dallas 2 @ Chicago 1 Dallas 1 @ Chicago 4 Chicago 5 @ Dallas 3 Chicago 5 @ Dallas 4 Dallas 2 @ Chicago 4 GGs
  5. Thanks Icestorm. I'm happy to do whatever's best for the organ-i-zation. If kupuck (or iceguy, or anybody else) wants a shot in A, I'm cool with that, too. Hopefully VC just gets back into the fold... Is he in school right now? This is the end of semester & finals time for a lot of people, so maybe he's just busy with that stuff. As Raph said, he played a classic series this weekend, so he hasn't disappeared completely. I even played a Mighty Prize League game with him.
  6. Very nice... for future reference, you might want a windscreen over the mic to eliminate popping on certain syllables. Or just hold the mic farther away or don't talk directly into it.
  7. I didn't see the game, but this is funny: Ilya Bryzgalov’s 2012 playoffs in one huge gaffe http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2012/05/08/video-ilya-bryzgalovs-2012-playoffs-in-one-huge-gaffe/ "If you’ve played a hockey video game, you’ve likely made this mistake before: you get antsy to pass with your goalie … so you cough it up to the opposing forward for a grief-stricken goal. That’s exactly what Philadelphia Flyers albatross-in-net Ilya Bryzgalov did with New Jersey Devils forward David Clarkson in the 2-1 goal, which was the eventual series-winner as the Devils closed things out 3-1 to win the series 4-1."
  8. updated post 7 with end of season standings. let the playoffs begin!
  9. the rangers game last night was amazing. game tying goal with 6 seconds left. game winner less than 2 minutes into OT. game 6 wednesday!
  10. Giroux suspended for game 5. It's funny because if you watch the complete replay of the hit, it all starts because he freaks out that Brodeur plays the puck outside of the trepezoid area behind the net, then he tries to be a tough guy.
  11. Nashville scored a beautiful nhl94esque one-timer, but lost 2-1. LA vs Phoenix in the Western Conference Finals. Interesting matchup.

  13. Updated post 7 with latest games played by zalex vs hokkee and flasox
  14. UPDATED: Kupuck just clinched a playoff spot earlier today. Season ends TOMORROW!
  15. I think they should only have 1 referee on the ice. Then they should put a video camera on all 12 on-ice players plus both benches, with NHL officials monitoring them at all times. If someone commits a penalty, one of the video officials presses a button and the on-ice referee gets buzzed to stop play when that team touches the puck. It would solve a few problems: - missing blatant penalties away from the play - calling b.s. penalties because the ref is in bad position - more space on the ice for the players... currently there's 4 referees/linesmen on the ice, and I constantly see them jumping out of the way of the puck. it's like having a 3rd team on the ice just trying to not get hit, which is ridiculous. Plus, it would be super futuristic, which is cool.
  16. Updated playoff standings with 2 points deducted for each unplayed game: bold indicates players who have played all 40 games * Eastern Conference winner gets automatic 2nd seed 1. carse 54 pts 2* flasox 53 pts 3. flamingpavelbure 54 pts (with 1 game unplayed) 4. wookie 48 pts 5. zalex 44 pts 6. kingraph 42 pts 7. kupuck 34 pts 8. beavers 32 pts ------------------------- boknows 30 pts vocallycaged 29 pts (with 5 games unplayed) hokkeefan 16 pts dcicon 14 pts (with 4 games unplayed) official standings here: http://nhl94online.com/html/standings.php?lg=11&sublg=GENS-A lots of interesting storylines... Carse and FPB neck-and-neck for #1 seed. Carse wins the tie-breaker because FPB didn't play all his games. Flasox finished the season strong and ended up as the leader in the Eastern Conference. Can he repeat as GENS A champ? UPDATED: With 5 games unplayed, Vocally Caged needed just 1 more win to make the playoffs and had the possibility of the 4th seed and home-ice advantage in round 1. Unfortunately, he was too busy working on Dynasty League to play any of those games, and he missed the playoffs. UPDATED: dcicon finished in last place and was an extremely sore loser.
