  1. Much appreciation to our benevolent overlords.
  2. Haha. The Rangers-Hurricanes game tonight seriously looked like a good game of NHL '94. Very entertaining. Reading about the current GM Meetings, I've been thinking about how '94 was way ahead of its time in the following respects: - no two line pass - goalies can't skate to the corners to retrieve the puck - shootout mode Anyone else have insight to the prophecy of the '94?
  3. Hagelin won fastest skater at the all-star competition. He's fast.
  4. Watch out for Ottawa. 4 All-Stars, and a bunch of good players. If Bishop plays solid between the pipes, they can do some damage.
  5. As a Rangers fan, I love how they're playing this year. Lundqvist is the man. Girardi, Staal, Del Zotto, McDonough are a really good top 4 Dmen. Gaborik, Richards, Callahan, Stepan, Anisimov, Hagelin, Dubinsky, Boyle, Prust, Rupp is a good set of forwards. Torts is a damn good coach, too. But if you're asking me who I think has the best chance, I'd say Penguins. Malkin & Fleury are playing great, and Crosby might come back. Plus, they've got a good supporting cast and lots of experience. Out of the West, I like Detroit but St. Louis, Chicago, or Nashville might be able to make a run. Can't wait for the playoffs, we're only about a month away!
  6. Best thing you can do is sign into AIM and ask anyone who's online and available if they can play. If you need screen names of people in the league, check out the current waiting list: http://nhl94online.com/html/waiting-list.php?lg=11
  7. I'll volunteer as database / website manager. Currently I'm about halfway through a grad school course in ASP.NET.
  8. I believe I'm next either 1st or 2nd on the waiting list. Does this mean my dreams of joining blitz might come true this season?
  9. I'm also not a big fan of this system rewarding teams who finish their season earlier. Unfortunately, so many times this is out of the owner's control because they need to face a particular opponent. I think it makes more sense to punish guys who don't finish their games. I can see at least 2 guys on the waiting list who didn't finish their games last season. In my opinion, their team selection should be done LAST, after the guys who played all 40 games on their schedule. Last season, I was a replacement player myself so I was behind in games and needed to wait extra time at the end of the season for new players to replace slackers (I'm not gonna name names, but may Ron Barr have mercy on your thumbs). Aside from that, I think it should work like every sports draft: last place gets first pick, 1st place gets last pick.
  10. This is 2011 - last year. I think some people are getting excited for 2012... including myself.
  11. An ace like you could probably write that code in 2 minutes, right?
  12. Part of my love for NHL 94 includes cranking up my stereo and rocking out. Just wondering about everybody else out there. Post anything you might think is relevant. daWook
  13. Only the player with the most wins according to All-Time User Standings (http://nhl94online.com/html/allstats.php?sort=wind) could make such a craaazzy wager. I am amazed RedWingDevil has 362 wins, and next closest is fenty62 with 266. That's a huge difference.
  14. Oh wait, now it's working. Weird.
  15. Game 3 was indeed a crazy war. Unfortunately, that link doesn't work. Good series, bud.
  16. Here's finals videos of the '12 B division winter championship. Game 1 Game 2
  17. I've always felt one advantage to HOI has nothing to do with stats. I just like shooting on the net up-screen as opposed to shooting down-screen. Is it possible to break down Blitz stats and see home and away scoring by period?
