  9. Adams Division GensA = 100% games completed ... Habs, Brutus, Raph... Nice work boys! Job well done for our division.
  10. Good to know, I may just do that... thanks for heads up, Jer
  11. I try not to buy anything retro from Gamestop considering they have completely botched that implementation and their prices are complete rip offs with questionable quality. With that said, I am going to purchase one of those off ebay or somewhere else. Thanks for the recco Jer! By the way, that ebayer that I bought a 3rd party pad from sent me a freebie that he thought I might like as well. Good stuff! I'll write a review when I get a chance.
  12. So I was doing some further research on pads and came across this ebayer who sells all sorts of gens controllers. As some of you know, I prefer the "claw" style (name courtesy of Raph) when I play so I'm trying to find a larger pad overall to better accommodate my right hand. I reached out to Backyardguillotine and he had a lot of great information in his reply to me about responsiveness, pad placement, etc. Really helpful and I recommend you reach out to him as well if you have questions or are looking to purchase a more customized 3rd party controller. http://www.ebay.com/usr/backyardguillotine?euid=65d7e9b2fdfd48758c69490421fd11aa&cp=1&exe=13453&ext=34391&sojTags=exe=exe,ext=ext
  13. I think you should definitely replace AJ... before he sets some kind of season win % record in GensA.
  14. I'm sorry guys, I'm just not going to be able to swing it this evening with everyone that's going on. Hope to catch Ice on the next go around in Deerfield. Brutus, if you can get together earlier one of these nights to do a lil NHL'ing, let me know. I have a Gens with composite cables here with me at work... we could always go hook it up at a bar in the area if you wanted
  15. I just ordered myself a set as well, thanks for posting! Can you simply use a small screwdriver to get inside those controllers or do you need a special tool?
  16. Hey Ice, I've been communicating with Brutus this week but Wed evening is no bueno for my schedule. Do you have any other nights available this week???
  17. Wait a second... you destroyed an Arnold Palmer Golf cart??? The horror! I'm definitely picking up one of these... thanks for heads up, Raph
  18. My dad used to work for Gunzos when i was really young. Gunzos supplied the Hawks with all their equipment so I grew up meeting a lot of older Hawks players from Bobby Hull to Stan Mikita to Joey Cora. When I was older, I had drinks with Joey Cora and he explained the politics of fighting in the NHL. Really cool guy. In fact, a real highlight growing up was a situation where I met Stan Mikita. While meeting Stan was really cool, what was even better was not 10 minutes later, watching my dad check him into the boards during an alumni charity game. HAHA I asked my dad afterwards "Dad, what are you doing? It's a friendly, why did you check Mikita?" My dad smiled and responded "He got in my way" Awesome.
  19. Under the current format, if a coach misses a 3rd checkpoint and they're 3-18, would you really want to pick up that team? I think replacement should be a very last resort. If we figure out a way to get in front of the issue and incentivize coaches up front (that is, outside of playing the best game ever), my hopes are the problem will resolve itself and we won't have to rely on any replacement lists (except in the more extreme cases)
  20. Wayyyy back at the old Chicago Stuadium when I was just a young lad, I was at a Hawks/Rangers game. Afterwards I stood out by gate 3 1/2 (I think) where all the players exited the stadium. I had a puck with a Rangers emblem that I brought to the game. As the players came out, I just held it out to any Rangers guy that would sign it. Who ended up signing it??? ... Sergei Nemchinov ... The Nemchinator YES!
