smozoma
EDIT: We use RetroArch now. See https://nhl94online.com/html/getting-started.php and scroll down to the Mac section. ------- I don't have a Mac, so I can't really help. Here are a few popular Mac emulators that you can use to play NHL'94. If you know of any more that are good, please post them. Sega Genesis/Megadrive Kega Fusion -- playoffs work, but no netplay? Generator (Apparently has a bug that prevents playoffs from working) Genesis Plus (Apparently has a bug that prevents playoffs from working) Super Nintendo / SNES SNES9x BSNES
Comeback_King
I'm really surprised about the limited players who use Mac computers.
chaos
I'm really surprised about the limited players who use Mac computers. I use a Mac, but you cannot play netplay, or no one has figured it out yet. Also, mine is ancient (still on a PPC mac mini)
beavers33
yeah, i use a macbook pro, but have to use boot camp to run windows and play games.
smozoma
I updated the post to indicate that Genesis Plus can't do playoffs, as has been reported twice. Challenge to the Mac users: Please verify that Kega supports netplay!
Leafsimon
kega has no netplay options.

CaseBC
Do SNES emulators have netplay? If so do they work very well? Can any of them play against someone on a PC or is that crazy talk?
smozoma
There is SNES9x for Mac (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/mac/), and PC also has SNES9x, so there is a chance they are compatible over netplay. That assumes SNES9x has netplay, which I've never checked...

CoachMac
I am trying to play on a friends Mac. Gens Plus and Generator work great but playoffs freeze after the first game. Kega the playoffs work but it will not let me configure my controller. It recognizes it and takes the up/down and left/right, but then no buttons work. Any ideas??? NYI80-83
I have a MAC but have always played on the PC partition of my hard drive I created with Boot Camp. Does it work just as well if I played on my regular MAC platform? Does NOSE work on MAC?
CoachMac
Macs work great for playing solo or live. But, they do have issues. Gens and Generator for Mac will freeze if you try and save lines or after the first game of any playoff series. Something about the battery. Netplay works. Fusion for Mac does not have that problem (the battery works for saving) but you can not configure a controller properly. No netplay. NOSE does not work on a Mac. The Bootcamp is a good solution. I wish I had as my Mac plays up on a big screen beautifully. My PC not so much, I spend 15 minutes everytime setting up a second monitor. Joon
1st post, and with it I want to thank you guys for this site. A long time friend recently picked up a genesis and NHL. Problem was the 2nd player controller port barely worked but didn't stop us from playing for 6 hours till 3 am. I almost bought my own Genesis till I found this site. I am running on a Mac, and using Kega. Wanted to let you guys know I bought a F310 gamepad made by Logitech and it works flawlessly and simple to configure. I may attempt to play online, but the fun that you guys have brought to my buddies and I are more then we could've hoped for. I am a Apple guru and will do anything I can to help anyone out. Thank you all again!
CoachMac
I play on a Mac. 92 works perfectly on a Mac using Generator. It also plays great with almost no lag online. I may have a 92 league for Mac users in the late fall if enough interest.
