Mikey - this is kind of off-topic, but I'm curious if you've watched other recent retro videogame docs to get ideas on what works and what might not work so well. For example: Nibbler, which is now on Netflix and is similar to King of Kong. Nintendo Quest, which is available on Vimeo I think (and it's Canadian!).

Great work. A couple of comments: Rather than one all-encompassing list that penalizes SNES players (with the -150), you could have separate lists (or just don't penalize SNES). Also, there are a few guys who are good on both systems (and a couple who are excellent on both), however their SENS records aren't reflected here. For example, if I sort the list to look only at SNES, AJ and Plabax aren't on the list. However, they're both top players on SNES.

There's Omega Red and Etienne who are from Quebec and played snes at king of 94. Also Annatar and Houly. Probably others I'm forgetting.

I think Dynasty is coming up soon though. Either dynasty or SDL could probably get started around the beginning of classic playoffs. But I don't think we could have all three overlapping.

For SNES, I think the worst are like this: Worst - San Jose (just a bunch of crappy players. Wilson has a hard shot, that's about it). 2nd Worst - Tampa Bay (you'd think Bradley would help, but no, this team is doomed) 3rd Worst - Ottawa (maybe I'm biased, but Turgeon/Baker/Kudelski is pretty damn good.) 4th Worst - Florida (they have Gord Murphy!)

Thanks for the ideas guys. I like this "Hockey Champ" idea from Mikey. This reminds me of a scene from the movie "Eagle vs. Shark" where the guy has a "Fight Man" tournament and he just destroys everyone.

Any tips on holding a small videogame tournament at home (NHL '94 obv)? I'm thinking of holding my own little tourney sometime this fall/winter. Ideally I'll be able to get together a group of 5-10 friends. Worst case, I could just play against my star wars figurines. My friends don't care much for videogames, so I guess it would mostly be all about drinking and socializing. I don't know.. Has anyone held their own tournament, and how did you keep it fun for the non-hardcore players like us?
