  1. what? did Detroit have to sell its English, too?
  2. my first ROM was a scrubs ROM. it had two teams of all 25s, one regular allstarish team and a team totally maxed out. that made it a bit tougher to win and not impossible to lose. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/11963-nhl-94-tru-scrubs-2010/
  3. NEW YORK – John Scott will captain the Pacific Division team at the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend in Nashville, the National Hockey League announced today. Scott, elected to the Pacific Division captaincy in fan voting while a member of the Arizona Coyotes, was traded Friday to the Montreal Canadiens of the Atlantic Division. The resultant change in division, and Scott’s subsequent assignment to the American Hockey League, created a unique circumstance that required review – the result of which was a determination to maintain the status quo for the All-Star weekend in order to preserve all parties' pre-existing expectations, including Scott’s desire to participate. "I am looking forward to enjoying a fun and unique experience at All-Star Weekend in Nashville with my family," said Scott. "While being voted to the All-Star Game by the fans was not something I expected to happen, I am excited to participate in the All-Star events with my fellow players."

  5. John Scott is awaiting the birth of his twins and was selected by the fans to participate in the NHL AllStar game. the NHL had his team ask him to withdraw. he declined. the NHL asked him to withdraw. he declined. his team sent him to the minors and traded him out of the conference. his new team sent him directly to the minors, about 5000 miles from his family. he is no longer eligible for the AllStar game, in which he was to captain a team. it makes me wonder what arrangement his new team has with the league... is it to keep pretending MTL doesn't dive and penalties against BOS are rare?
  6. did they teach how to defend against a wraparound cutacross in gym? I suspect not.
  7. you couldn't? maybe you should see a doctor about that. may be some form of Internet Tourette....
  8. worst announcer/commenter/commentator/play-by-play guy in ALL of sports. by far. worse than nails on a chalkboard. "dumps it on back around to flip it back down on forward back to the forward playing ahead of the puck behind the play back to around the back around back." AARGH! please let this man retire.
  9. do you ever post without typing out something sexist/racist/violent/horrible? anyway, this whole thing screams "onlag play is 71.4% drama!" how is this any fun? I don't understand how people enjoy onlag gaming unless they've never played the actual game.
  10. it is nonsense, for sure. 64.2% of Honkee's posts are.
  11. yeah, it's homework until you know all the player weights and can recall instantly what that means for your reaction. in SNES those matter enough less that you more worry about your own positioning when receiving a check to give you an edge. I don't recall it working well for Genesis, but aiming 180* away from the momentum of a check or turning off of it or something like that is key for SNES. basically, do your homework and practice recognizing players and recite their ratings and know what the ratings mean for your ability to lay 'em out like quilt.
  12. wow. where are my SNESers at?! color me jealous (again).
  13. and received an iBuffalo. attempting to get a refund processed. will update with a review if I end up keeping it.
  14. I just ordered a Buffalo (not an iBuffalo). I also have a cheap SNES USB with no branding and purple buttons; it's very good.
  15. I offered up a chatroom as an answer to the absurd usage of America Online. it could be right on the homepage, even, without the issues the built-in chatbox had, awesome as that action was a few years ago. maybe Prodigy and CompuServe would be better alternatives for this crowd.
  16. nice; thanks. Chicago won't show me any defensemen.
  17. well, Genesis cartridges are stalled for progress*, but SNES ones seem to be good to go. does anybody want any particular SNES cartridge? hit me with a response here or in a private message. be sure to provide (at least a link to) the ROM you'd like used. my current cost estimate is $26.18 shipped to the USA, US$29ish to Canadia and about $30 to most other countries without delivery guarantees, but that stuff is not set until I tinker with a few options and do a full accounting of the costs incurred. go. *see previous post.
  18. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/17287-got-a-genesis-hack-cartridge-please-help/ seeking images of the insides of a successfully hacked Genesis '94 cartridge. please help if you have one.
  19. I'm only trying to help the community have this option. you don't have to add your nothing.
