NHL'94: Fight Edition
chaos ·NHL'94: Fight Edition "It's the same old NHL94, now with fighting!" After working on this since mid-March of 2025, I am proud to present NHL94: Fight Edition. The ROM in this post is just that: the original NHL'94 game, with fighting added in. No changes were made to the core game other than some adjustments to a few players' Fight attribute to allow for more bruisers (more on this in a moment), addition of fighting attribute display, new title screen, and changes to the title sc -

4th line hack
After finding out that fighting was back in the game, I just wondered what else thought impossible is possible. With fighting now in both games 93 and 94 having an extra line of tough guys would be great (thinking Washington Caps Simon-Hunter-Berube line). Not sure why they originally went with 3 lines – space maybe? Only just found out we had the 92 source code! Unfortunately, have not touched this stuff in 15 years so have lost all the knowledge I used to have. I had a go at the ‘Findi -
New York Islanders
New York Islanders The 1992-93 NHL season saw the New York Islanders at something of a curious point in their franchise's existence. Nearly a decade removed from their peak dynasty years, most of the players from that era had either moved on to other teams or retired leaving the team in search of a new identity. What remained afterwards was a collection of players who, outside of one superstar, would not be mistaken for a dynasty cup winning team but were scrappy and determined enough to make on

matching roughing penalties?
bradu ·Just had an idea pop into my head that initially seems like one of those pipe dreams that would never happen, but I'm finding some of them are a lot more realistic than I initially thought. So how about this? Matching roughing penalties. We see it all the time in the NHL, the little scrums where players facewash each other, grab on like they're thinking about dropping the mitts while shoving or punching each other...It essentially would be a brief fight with gloves on...players trade a punch or

SCART Image Issue
Hey y’all. Got a question. I just bought a GBS-C Pro just for NHL’94. Was hopeful everything would work with SCART. Unfortunately, the image quality is scrambled. I purchased a cheap AliExpress cable and I purchased an expensive CSync cable from internet advice. Neither had a good picture. I’m playing on a Model 1 Genesis Any advice from the group? -
SNES Classic Historic Stats
I've compiled a list of all-time SNES Classic player stats, league winners, and personally awarded players/coaches when I was bored at work last week. It also includes a player lookup tool to view past stats. Please note: There were no player stats recorded on the site between 2008 Spring and 2012 Fall. This is a read-only document with the exception of the player name cells on the Player and Coach tabs. Otherwise, you can download a copy and edit it locally. I will do my best to update it after -

trying to figure out how to make several little changes
bradu ·I'm learning how to adjust the code in Chaos' fight patch for some of this stuff, but a lot of it isn't in the fight patch and is in the regular game code. I just figured out how to open files in a hex editor and was able to change the energy of the players, so now I know at least if I can find the right hex, how to make changes there. Here are several little things I've been trying to figure out how to change or experiment with that I haven't found yet, any help or pointing me in the right dire

more frequent line changes?
bradu ·I'm trying to find a way for the computer to make more frequent line changes when on auto line changes or a computer controlled team. Basically, the first lines play 75% of the time, 2nd lines maybe 20%, and the checking lines don't see the ice unless their team is ahead in the 3rd period. I feel like the obvious solution is to reduce all players endurance to 0, but as I recall I tested this long ago with NHLPA 93 and saw very minimal difference. Might still give it a try with just 2 teams to se
