  1. would you be willing to share the details of that or would we be ordering through you to get it done? either is fine, but if it's an existing thing at that price, I can stop trying to make it happen for slightly less and cut my losses. please inquire about the SNES ones, as I'd like to get one of each of my installments from the last five years.
  2. does anybody want to betatest? I'm getting close, here. I'll probably keep plugging away slowly over the next four days, or so, and then once every playoff team has had at least one game played, I'll set the lines and be "done" enough for a proper release. what I could use is somebody to flip through and check spelling, jersey numbers, handedness, weights... that kind of stuff. please let me know if you'd like to help in any way. I could still use ideas for the remaining booklet pages, too. holler.
  3. yep. a few examples of "long stick" guys and "short stick" guys would be a great help for those trying to grasp this stuff.
  4. I'm still working on it, but I'm having repeated problems with Chinese chips. they keep refunding my money and sending different ones, but nothing is working, yet. I have an acquaintance with a bit more knowledge on this stuff than I have, but he's been unable to get me there with what we've got. I am trying. I will keep y'all posted if/as things change.
  5. it seems like he DID need to see it to find it, as detailed explanations weren't getting him there. sometimes an introduction to a new concept needs to be simplified, not complicated. I'd guess your exposition into accurate examination of the issues at hand may makes sense to him by this time next year, but he was clearly getting frustrated with an inability to see the address in the sidebar, preventing him from delving into the hex data, generally. hopefully having found it will bring him closer to understanding the hex arrangements in the future.
  6. shrink the window so it only displays two digits per row.
  7. it's in between those. if you change the size of the window, does it change the way it counts the offsets?
  8. are they a bunch of idiots over there or what?
  9. big, blank image indeed. only WSH seemed to need any jersey work since last season, so I'm cruising right along.
  10. number crunching is "done," so it's now time to open up the editor and start the real work. looks good to be done by the playoffs. hit me with any concerns or ideas for the remaining booklet pages.
  11. I was banned from this place for suggesting an option of suicide for an angrily argumentative member, but y'all are free to have at me with no repercussions. "eugenics" is a bit strong, don't you think? was it your suggestion that "instant" goalie is a bad improvement because it can never really be instantaneous, or are you just letting my opinion get you angry enough to suggest such immoral atrocities? you need to get a grip, maen.
  12. came for the anti-goaltender-control arguments, stayed for the defense of such arguments against the obviously fixed prior problem. the "it's not REALLY instant, so never mind" one was the best, I think, in terms of amazingly nonsequiturial debate team distractions. just....wow.
  13. interesting concept. I'd enjoy one without the positions but with all of the numbers. this concept fits securely in the realm of "possibly possible, but surely not simple." best case is it's possible and easy to switch on. this is unlikely, but you'd have to find the "off" switches and flip them to "on." worst case is it's not possible for the game to handle more than, like, four such markings and it's not even set up to offer the option away from player-controlled or puck-possessing characters, therefore memory code would need to be rewritten to allow for the remaining players to be switched on, while also requiring new code to mark the rest of the active players, for some sort of hack job to strike a balance in between. most likely its a lot closer to the harder end than the easy one, but that's not based in actually knowing the specifics of how the numbering-/position-displays are coded.
  14. excellent. congratulations on getting this far this quickly. the rest sure isn't easy, but it's clear that you will get it done. thanks for being a doer.
  15. aw! thanks, friend. your kindness means a lot to me and I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to communicate such generous compliments.
  16. is the funny part that he doesn't know the difference between a ho and a hoe or the fact that he doesn't seem to grasp that his barrage of insults doesn't appropriately apply to anything/anybody?
  17. such a generous offer and not your first nor last. you clearly love to love fun. have some!
  18. it's still having major problems, with some teams showing players from two seasons ago and the wrong statistics for their current players. I'll get going once behindthenet.ca is functional again.
  19. okay! I tracked down the dude who runs behindthenet.ca and it turns out that he didn't know that there hadn't been an update in over a month and a half. when nhl.com switched to a new servicer and format for their statistics, it broke his formulae. it should be up-to-date by tomorrow night, so I'll get back to work on this project again very soon. I'll try to have it done for the start of the playoffs. if anybody wants to help in any way please let me know.
  20. here's to Skippy not losing his passion after five years of updates! Skip, get the behindthenet.ca folks to update their site, please!
  21. cool. it's good to see that you are still out there innovating! did you experiment with having a few that aren't as broken up be different colors?
  22. really? weird name for it....
  23. I couldn't tell, either. SO hard to grasp the point of his posts. I'm wordy, but he's otherworldly wordy.
