  1. Cool, yea I had a feeling there were picks missing but I guess it was only the one. It was a good point PensFan brought up. I guess when guys play in other leagues, they are still "active" in the chance they may come back to the NHL. Here's Fedorov's probable location for next season: http://tsn.ca/nhl/teams/story/?id=279927&a...me=nhl-capitals -Evan
  2. Nice work shaftman. It shows that you care -Evan
  3. Why don't we let all the other users who posted their pick to be added to the list. Can't hurt since no one's lost their player yet and it's all in good fun. -Evan
  4. Excellent move. Welcome to the community and hope you're able to get some exhibition games in. -Evan
  5. Pittsburgh in 7. (I'm so tired of Carolina) Chicago in 7. (This team has a sick way to comeback in a game)
  6. Nice! Thanks for sharing. -Evan
  7. Yea, I removed the posts and the user. It wasn't your imagination. -Evan
  8. Hey, Swos and Mahavishnu run and maintain the update.nhl94.com page/rom, I just host it for them. -Evan
  9. I have PMed you back. Basically linking topics to others should look like this: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic=10171 -Evan
  10. Most will think I'm nuts for saying this, but Pittsburgh is my pick for worst team to play with (Genesis version). Not sure why this team is rated so high. I'd pick any of the low teams before them. -Evan
  11. I always wondered why the shooters try to snap a shot as fast as they can every time. The goalie is expecting it. Go with an off speed shot since goalies aren't used to that.
  12. Thanks for all the Birthday wishes guys. Yea, I'll let you know if I get NHL94 (we're having the party today) and if so you guys should come over to play. I hear it's even got 4-way play! Halifax, we had ice cream cake at the office Friday and man that was good. -Evan
  13. Hey guys, Just in case you haven't heard this before, Randy Moller doing radio for the Florida Panthers is hysterical or outrageous. -Evan
  14. Hey guys, Just played a game with this ROM, I have to say it's very creative. Here's some screenshots taken during the game. There were a couple of strange graphic issues but maybe was just the emulator. One screenshot shows the south end goal, and the goalie seems to have some stray stick piece left over (think someone else mentioned this). The other was when there was a faceoff in the south end left faceoff circle, a piece of the wall was blinking. Anyone else notice this? Just trying to help you with the quirks. Great job! -Evan
  15. Hey Andrew, The A,B,C,D was a way to separate the different skill levels but also put guys into leagues with different game counts (20 game, 40 game) to give players more choice if they couldn't play a 40-game season. The newer guys usually would be placed in the lower leagues, but in the past this has shown that some guys come on the scene and tear it up. We are working to get the nhl94online.com website back to the way it was. We'll try to keep a status report on this as a new database guy is taking the reigns. -Evan
  16. Ok, thanks Darrel. Just so you guys know, some of the math doesn't add up for the home/away records. I'll sort through that and when these stats are on the nhl94online.com website they will be updated. BTW, thanks again for running that league! -Evan
  17. Hey addison or halifax, I'm starting to gather the data from the Spring 2008 season that's on the temp website. Are those standings fully up to date? Also, I'm probably going to need to know who some of the guys are. I don't recognize the AIM names, but would recongnize the forum name. Thanks in advance, -Evan
  18. Yea, thanks for the link Smoz.. could be fun for the younger kids. Anyone on the forums play this yet? Curious what their thoughts are. -Evan
  19. Guys, I do have plans to revive this. It's possible that sometime this year Chaos (user on this forum) and I can get the site updated where there's a league template for league admins to use. I'm going to get a feel of how long it will take, but "Spring2009" certainly won't be using the site. Metz, hopefully you'll be "handing over" Classic back to me and the guys who used to help run the league. -Evan
  20. That's right up there with that Mathieu Garon save when he swatted it out of the air. -Evan
  21. Agreed. The download page was suppose to be this. Trying to avoid too many forums too, but a downloads section that's constantly updated is certainly a must. -Evan
  22. Yes, though I haven't heard from him in a while. I'll contact him to see how he's doing. -Evan
  23. Hey, I'd like to think this place is pretty loose compared to most communities. I don't think I've gotten away from why I created this site. The reason I created this site is to give people who enjoy nhl94 a place to share their experiences, play games online, learn how to edit the game, etc. I just haven't been around much anymore because life has been hectic. I'm not going to start any arguments, but here's a thought. If you (or anyone here) was running this website, what kind of things would you add or do differently? The subscription thing on the forums is a feature that's built into the forum application. I choose not to use that (and never will) as this should always be free. On a side note, I'd love to run a league but I don't really have someone to help me maintain a database. It's too much overhead to do it all yourself. We've been playing NHL94 at work and most of my co-workers play and enjoy the game. We did 1 tourny so far, went well. We're doing another one soon, so maybe we'll start posting these tourny's on the website (would anyone care?). -Evan
  24. Cool, well good luck with future leagues, even if you take them slow.
  25. Seeing a topic called "weed/booze" isn't a good idea, especially when there's parents and kids reading this forum. -Evan
