  1. Amonte - Klima - Borschevsky Daignealt - Racine Ranford Oh wait, that was my gdl 9 roster No but really, that kind of lineup seems to work really well for me. A super skilled center with 2 average joe clone wingers. Obviously Klima is incredible, but amonte and borschevsky are more of a grinder type of forward, each with virtually the same attributes (both 6 4 4 skating, amonte with 3 3 shot instead of borschevskys 3 4). My thinking is, I'm not very good at playing a diversified style. Like, using 3 drastically different kinds of forwards is very complicated. Having a playmaker, a sniper, and a defensive forward can be used as a classical example. Having to think about who im passing to, who im controlling, having to make distinct plays to specific players to score, that's complex. Of course a balanced attack has the most potential for success, it just doesn't seem to fly well with me. Having my star in the middle with 2 jobbers beside him, it's easy to understand all of your options of attack. Basically, with this kind of 1 skill + 2 clones combo I always know what I'm working with. Calling them grinders doesn't mean they're useless by any means though. They have no real weaknesses as 2nd and 3rd wingers. They can skate solidly, can pass just fine, and can score from close quite nicely. Daigneault and Racine are just solid solid dmen, since skating is by far the most important attribute for dmen. 6 4 3 and 6 3 3 work very nicely as dmen for me. Oh yeah, and Ranford is just a beast with that sweet 4 passing : ]
  2. If you want some tips aqua, I'd love to help you out. Send me a pm if you're interested
  3. I was still mindfucked from getting knocked out f you, I look angry all the time apparently
  4. Yeah everyone I've talked to that has windows 8 with 94 says it's really bad You need to find a windows xp or 7 cpu if you can Windows xp is the fn best
  5. Voc is the inventor of the term toddling, I think it's the funniest one Seth often calls deking 'wiggling' so let's not mix these 2 all around haha Then again, Seth calls the toddling/stk thing 'riding his horse.' I think it's a funny ass term too, kinda looks like that. Seems like some sort of a dance move to me
  6. Next time I play you I'm gonna try to pay close attention to what you're exactly doing against me both defensively and offensively I can't let anti tomkabs tech take me down
  7. Plabax is the best player ever Can't really argue against it
  8. Whattttttt I bought 16 last Tuesday and stopped playing on like Thursday. I have loved every nhl game dearly, except 15, and now 16. This game is freaking awful honestly. Forever nhl 14, gonna have to play it for yet another year. It's okay, it's the 2nd best nhl game other than of course 94.
  9. I honestly almost never remember anything from any game I've ever played :S My memory is wack
  10. I was thinking about that raph, that I didn't get to exi you at all. Same with a lot of you guys. So many people it's impossible to do everything. Even talking to everyone is hard, so many people I ended up just talking to for a couple mins total. It was all so overwhelming in a wonderful way. Onto the thing about home advantages. Smoz was telling me yesterday that he's not quite sure what it does, cuz he has some old notes that don't make sense anymore. He's gonna look into it he says, but he thinks that home advantage gives a boost to stickhandling, shot accuracy, and (maybe he says) passing. I forget what he said about road advantage, but yeah. Think about your game with kg where you lost 8-1 in buffalo. Sure you had detroit, but buffalo has strong home advantage. Man I wrote out all the home and away advantages, then I didn't even use them once when picking teams in tourney I am an idiot lol
  11. I definitely think the coin toss home/away thing should stay the same. Initially I agreed with what you guys were saying, that losing the toss is too much of an advantage. But then I played AJ and yeah, lost a close but frustrating anh/fla game. If he would have gotten home, as well as being able to choose two of the most skill-less teams, I think that would have been kinda unfair. I learned so freaking much about the classic rom on Saturday. That was one thing I didn't even think of. Give me another chance and I'm getting first place f you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Yeah guys!!!! I am really with you on this one. I can give it to you in writing that I'll be there on time Saturday well before 12:45. I wanted to be in the afternoon group solely so I could sleep in
  13. After my stint in 2015 I'm making 2 changes: Selanne - From 4 previously down to 14 Modano - From 11 previously up to 10 Call it bias because of my first round exit with the Jets if you will. I'm not gonna blame you if you really think that way. I just strongly feel now that Selanne is not a top 10 player, because of his skating. As most of us know, having more speed than agility (attribute wise) causes wonkiness in skating. If you didn't know that already, I'll sum it up quick. It causes them to have an extra wide turning radius, to be slower at stopping, and also, to be slower when starting up / changing directions. This is not an exact definition, but that's basically it. Selanne has a good shot, no questioning that, and he is fast as hell. I used to think that's all that really mattered. But I learned that this man skates like a mini bondra. Selanne just simply cannot deke, and deking to me is an extremely important part of 94. By deking I don't mean deking the goalie, I mean deking the opponent and his players, wiggling your way to the net. Deking in 94 is all about the 'stop and go'. Stopping up when the opponent is getting ready to defend you in some way, and changing directions or faking them out by going the same way. All kinds of fakes come out of stopping up, my whole game revolves around this. Selanne is awful at this. He takes 8 years to stop up, and 8 more years to change directions. You can't stop up and turn precisely with him I find because he turns so freaking wide. Selanne is a craptastic deker!!!!! Oh yeah, and Modano. He is awesome and deserves to be in the top 10. I'd definitely rather have Mike instead of Wayne. Gretzky is awesome, but Modano is a true superstar center.
  14. Love these AJ. The originals and the CB notes both I still think Dallas is arguably the second best team in the game, behind Detroit of course. Modano Courtnall and Broten are just way too stacked Broten is a freaking great player on his own even offensively. His skating feels so nice
  15. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooppppppsssssss My post came off as the complete opposite of what I meant. Terrible terrible wording, I am so stupid I MEANT TO SAY that line changes should be 100% free whenever you feel like it. I meant 'it's not a big deal' as in there isn't really a need to have such a hard cap on line changes. There's no question that you should be allowed to do it before the game, during intermissions, when an injury occurs, and when a penalty happens. Not being able to change lines then would be wacky (even though I don't really do it during penalties and stuff, BUT I SHOULD). You should also be allowed to do it during a whistle sometimes mid period. It's reasonable to want a change of pace in the form of a new look.
  16. it's really not that big of a deal imo. people aren't going to be abusing this I know it's for money, but those avg joes aren't going to really be expecting to win this thing and nobody other than seth abuses line changes, and even tho he abuses he's very quick about doing it so it's no big deal
  17. hahaha brutus tru is such a freaking wet blanket and it really annoys me
  18. I don't understand why you'd have a rule like this at all. Care to elaborate? So many people dislike line changes mid game you guys are insane
