Thanks for posting this! I was able to load up zsnes and play fine. I'll have to try out a online test game with some super bud this weekend. Anyone?

I've pinned this. After a couple exhis with death asylum....years of frustration lifted....mac users can now smash it out online SNES!

I :red_heart: Caseyais forever.

I can get the game to work on my MacBook Pro (SNES), but only in the 512x448 DR window video modes which is tiny. When I try the other video modes, everything usually freezes. Anyone else have this problem or recommend a video mode to try? Thanks.

In 2005 I bought my first computer an I-mac and it still works great.

The PC I bought to play this game in 2012 broke down once and I got it fixed, but it is toast now and I don't plan on buying another.

So....based on what I have read here, I can play SNES against PC's with my Mac?

Halifax is this what you do?

AND/OR

I can get Parallels or Boot Camp for my Mac.

My concern here is that my Mac is so old it won't work.

Anyone with any helpful info would be appreciated.

I tried to play the game on my new Imac and it didnt work so I kept the old mac ibook to play some games. Older is probably better for you coachmac.

glad your not CoachPC

I got Gens working on this.

But it is weird.

When the small screen comes up it has a mirror look with messed up colors.

Then you go full screen and it is perfect, BUT you can not escape full screen.

ALSO,

Do I load Hamachi thru Play on a Mac or just on my Mac.

Not sure how some of the other stuff works.

NOSE did not work.

Hex Editor did.

I've got the original NES working perfectly with this. Hello Tecmo and RBI Baseball.

I've got the SNES working but my controller only has 2 buttons so I can't play 94 properly and I don't know what all the buttons do.

AND...

I've got GENS working.

Now I need to get Hamachi to work.

Look for me on AIM to find someone to test with soon.

I am having issues with getting Gens to run now.

It just quit working out of no where.

Jer and I tried to play last night.

I have 5 games of classic left and of course our Original 6 League.

Hopefully I can get this sorted and working again, otherwise I will no longer be able to play online.

Is it possible that one of the affected programs had an update in the least couple of days/weeks? Have you installed any new programs in that time?

I'm not a MAC user, but if this was a Windows machine I would use "System Restore" to get my machine back to using the settings that worked a few days ago (it would effectively reverse any changes made to Windows or Windows programs). Not sure if Mac has that sort of functionality built in? Again.. I'm not a Mac-guy.

I don't use my computer for much.

The Play on a Mac program (Wine is the Virtual PC) still runs my Hex editor fine.

The problem is Gens.

When I open the rom I get no visual and a super fast audio (like chipmunks)

I reinstalled Gens last night to no avail.

I am going to try removing and reinstalling Play on a Mac.

Delete the Gens.cfg file in the GENS folder and restart GENS. See if that works.

Using fightcade 2, you can play snes or gen. Can even play Mac vs PC or Mac vs Linux.

The best part is you can sit in the lobby and get on with whatever you are doing. People will challenge you and a sound with alert you. I am surprised this is not the premier way to play NHL. It is the easiest and lag free across continents
