Hey boys, As you guys all know I have been traveling all over North America getting content for the doc. As luck would have it I never had to go far to get Theo Fleury... He walked right into my work up here in Yellowknife NWT Canada. He was in town doing talks. He needed to go to Hay River (My hometown) so I hooked him up with a flight there and he was more then happy to give me interview. I will not give anything away but he was the best and most well rounded NHL'er interview I have ever done. On top of that he is an amazing guy and he well bring a lot to the project PS for the die hards he knows that the EA Sports All Star game drinking story was in 1999 the interne…

I have been toying around with the idea of doing a King of 94 North. So my question... If I can find an airline sponsor. Who would fly to Yellowknife to play NHL 94? It would be in March/April, Its more of a publicly stunt then "get as many players as possible". If I can get 3-5 guys that I have filmed before (you know who you are) it mite be a very cool scene in the movie plus it may be your only chance to see the true North. The first 3-4 can stay at my place. Just a thought, let me know if any of you guys would be up to it. -Mikey UPDATE: THE DATES ARE MORE LOOKING LIKE JULY 2016

Hey Guys, Just wanted to keep you diehards in the loop. Last Saturday I finished all my main filming for the movie. I have a few pick up scenes to be filmed in the next few months but the MEAT of the film is done. I have spent the last year and 3 months getting all the interviews and research done to put this whole journey into a complete story. I'm working with writers and producers now to take all the info and make something that is true to the subject matter and yet have universal appeal. King of Kong on the surface was a Donkey Kong Movie, but underneath it was about the human competitive sprit. The new Jake the Snake Doc isn't really about wrestling, its about hit…

Ok folks this is a tough one. What did NHL '95 do right or try and do? I don't want to know what failed. Again this is a thought experiment. If you where a sales guy trying to sell NHL '95 to a 94 guy that has never played it what things would you say makes it better (Again i don't care if those things didn't work or made the game worse).

Hey Guys, Well I have been super busy, I'm back up in Yellowknife (Northwest Territories) working at my normal day job. I'm doing about ten hours in the Buffalo Airways Hangar a day and 3-4 hours a night on the film. I'm living a breathing NHL '94. I wake up at 6am everyday and play a quick game before I get ready for work. I got the new Framemeister so its looks perfect on an HD screen. (big thanks to Chaos for helping me out when I thought I wrecked it!!!!!) After work I watch one documentary a night and take notes on what I liked and didn't like about it, then I spend my time writing and coming up with story structure. I have partnered up with a very cool production…

Hey Guys, I’m in the process of laying the ground work for a full feature length Documentary on NHL ’94. I'm calling it Pixelated Heroes. I want to cover as many aspects as possible. I'm the guy that made the NHL '94 quiz that was posted on this forum last month. Those questions and a lot more are the kind of things I'm looking at covering. My vision is basically a travel doc in search of Mark Lesser and a show down with Jeremy Roenick. I probably don’t have to explain why this would be awesome project to you guys... but to the people that fund and produce projects like this, they have to be convinced. So i’m working hard to make sure my pitch is air tight. They hav…

I landed an interview with NHL '94 producer Michael Brook. I'm compiling my list of questions for him and wondering if you guys had anything question you would like to be asked. Remember Mark Lesser was the designer of NHL '94 but Michael Brook was in charge of what features the game got and was also involved in all the versions of the ports. He also got the deal for the NHL and NHLPA licences. Basically what was and wasn't in NHL '94 was his call. So if you had a chance to talk to him, what would you ask?

Hey Guys I'm shooting with the Traveling Jagrs in the next week and I would love to surprise them with a custom Rom Hack that has 3 forwards and 2 defenseman also the back up Goalie that are all Jagr #68. If possible can they not be on the starting line so a line edit would have to be done to get them in the game. If this could be done for two teams the Pens and the Pathers. It would be sweet! Also if they all could be 100 over all that would be cool. Can this be done?????

Hey Boys! I'm planning my next major filming trip to California and I'm reaching out to you guys to see if you have any ideas. Jim Simmons and Michael Brook -If you guys have any questions for these two that you would like answered please write them in the comments. My secondary goals -(As always) is to interview past/current NHL players -Any NHL94.com members My stretch goal is to interview Keith Apicary... Who is he?…

I'll be filming in the Toronto area at a arena with up to four past NHL'ers (that where all in NHL '94). This will be for the documentary and I was wondering if any forum members could possibly come help by and help out. I'll need skaters in hockey gear, and camera/production assistants. Also if you come I could interview you as well as part of the film. I can't say the players yet cause I don't want to jinx it but all of them are All Stars and have 8 Stanley cups between them. I don't have a date yet, we are trying to work it out with all their schedules. Let me know if any of you are interested.
