halifax Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Welcome to SNES dynasty! I will be using player ratings from each of the SNES NHLgames from ’93 to ’98 to create a ’94 rom each season. The later seasons, I’lltry and get stats close since they’re not done exactly the same as ‘94. Season 1 – 93 stats Season 2 – 94 stats Season 3 – 95 stats Season 4 – 96 stats Season 5 – 97 stats Season 6 – 98 Stats The first season I’ll open the league up to 28 buds. (notthat I expect 28 buds to register) The following season, I’ll set a leaguelimit on teams. Playoff format will be decided at a later date. Roster Rules There are 6 forwards, 4 defensemen and 2 goalies only. Game Settings 5 mins, no offsides, no penalties, no line changes Salary Cap Rules The team salary cap is set at 100 million with incentives. The cap flooris 80 million. You must spend at least to the floor. Ex. Coach has spent 75 million on 11 players and needs tobid on one more player. He must spend at least $5 million on that player toreach the floor. The floor will always be 20 million below your max limit. With Cap Incentives (see below), you can increase your ceiling and your cap floor will remain. Contract Length Rule Contracts for player can be one to six years. Bidding Rules Opening bids can start at $1 million and succeeding bidswill increase by $1 million. (I’ll set higher opening bids for the top ratedplayers). Indicate the amount you want to pay the player per season and as wellas for 1 or 2 years. EX: 7 million/2 seasons A winner will be declared sometime after 24 hours since thelast bid has taken place. (I‘ll declarethe winner of that bid when I get a chance to look at it.) The bidding process will take place on a separate forum sothis one doesn’t get cluttered up. I will post a spreadsheet attachment of theplayer ratings well in advance to give time guys to do research. I anticipate sometime in mid November to start bidding. At some point, I will set a deadline when you have tofinalize a roster. Free Agent rules If you drop a player, you will lose half that amount (roundeddown to next half million) of cap room on your roster for the remainder of hiscontract. That player’s contract will also remain intact until it expiresshould someone else want to claim him. Ex. Coach has signed player A for 7 million for two seasons, then decides to drop him to bid on another player. Cap impact is as follows. -7 million /2 = 3.5 million -3.5 million rounded down to 3 million. - The Coach’s new salary cap is 97 million (100-3) for thisseason and next season. New floor limit is 77 million. If you drop a player, you will lose 50% of his salary of your cap maximum. Trade rules Trading period will commence once the bidding period hasended. Trades will be valid as long as the rosterrequirements and cap limits are adhered to once the trade is completed. Aforward is traded for a forward, dman for dman etc. Three players traded total is the limit for each coach. Won't be any trading (no one made a trade the previous year). Cap Incentives for the following season You can increase your cap limit for the following season. 5 million for each games played checkpoint met 2 million for each playoff series won. This limit resets each season to the $100 million cap limit (minus any free agent cap penalties) The teams that are being used are WHA teams. I already have the rom. The banners are already on the site. trudatman Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 let the kid play. it's coincidence of separate circumstances, but it sucks seeing a passionate and unproven kid seemingly grouped with proven ruiners. Northway, would you offer to take a different team? Halifax, he is putting in an effort to participate in a time when the community lacks plenty. if he can get a confirmed connection, what's the issue? Quote

Halifax, he is putting in an effort to participate in a time when the community lacks plenty. if he can get a confirmed connection, what's the issue? I'd like to see him play in snes classic league first to see what kind of commitment and gamesmanship there is. I've ran enough of my own leagues to know more often then not, unproven players quit before the season is over. It's why classic is nice because its open to new players, but you also see who likes playing and who doesn't stick around. All the guys that are here now have played in classic leagues before so I know their commitment level and their personality. Quote
